Brackmills Industrial Estate comprises of some 3.9 Sq Km of industrial, warehousing and office space and is located on the south eastern side of Northampton. The estate is home to over 150 companies many key not just to Northampton and the county, but further afield.

There are currently in excess of 11,000 people employed on Brackmills Industrial Estate and neighbouring Northampton Business Park.

The Brackmills Estate Group, Northampton, evolved into a Business Improvement District (BID) as companies on the estate looked to make further improvements and fund the ongoing monitoring and maintenance for the CCTV system on the estate.

In March 2009, a vote to create a Business Improvement District (BID) on Brackmills Industrial Estate, Northampton, took place and a majority decision saw a Business Improvement District (BID) come into force. With the creation of the BID company there will be a stronger lead by the companies on the estate who will take ownership of the issues and the direction in which the estate moves forward.
