Sector Groups
In addition to the Business Park & Industrial Estate groups, there are a number of sector groups which are currently running. These include:
The above groups are open to businesses based in the county and allow for topics to be discussed in more depth whilst sharing best practice and information. Northamptonshire HR Group
This group meets quarterly to share information and best practice in HR. The group undertakes a yearly salary and benefits survey. Outside of meetings there are regular email updates and discussions
Northamptonshire High Energy Users Group
A forum for companies in the county who are registered under the UK Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme or who are high energy using companies. The group meets quarterly and companies take it in turns to host and chair the meetings. Meetings include updates on legislation, sharing of best practice and updates on new technologies.
Northamptonshire Health & Safety Group
This group meetings bi monthly and allows those involved in Healthy & Safety in the county an opportunity to meet with others, share best practice and information on a wide range of topics related to Health & Safety. Past topics have included REACH, Business Continuity, legislation updates and safe handling of loads.
Northamptonshire Environment & CR Group
This group meets bimonthly and allows those involved with environmental issues to meet, share best best practice and information on wide range of topics. Meetings are hosted around the county with tours of the host site where possible. Past topics have included renewable energy technologies, wind turbines, car sharing schemes and waste legislation updates.
Northamptonshire Customer Services Group
This group meets around 3 times a year and is an opportunity to meet with others in the sector across the county in customer services and contact centres. The group is an opportunity to share best practice and information on a wide range of topics related to customer service.
